Meat is the new bread

The New York Times 10 best books of 2008
The Times list of the 10 Best Books of 2008 is now available. And, well, that got things pretty much right. I would argue for the inclusion of Richard Price’s Lush Life and Marilynne Robinson’s Home on the fiction list, in place of books by Jhumpa Lahiri and Steven Millhauser.
